A Tribute to Chan Canasta

Paintings by magician Chan Canasta will be on display, and rare footage of Canasta in performance will be shown. The magician's widow, Renata Kadrnka will be in attendance and will speak about her hsuband's work. Steve Cohen has announced that he and Doug McKenzie will most likely recreate some of Canasta's effects. The event is being presented by Cohen in the suite at the Waldorf Astoria where he presents his show, Chamber Magic. To attend, RSVP by June 19. The Magic Table is another longstanding gathering for magicians. It has always been based in the Times Square area, harking to the time when the neighborhood was home to multiple magic businesses like the Tannen's and Max Holden magic stores. The get-together is open to anyone interested in magic.
